I’m very new to WordPress and just bought Avada because everyone says it’s the best. Is this okay for someone who doesn’t know how to code? Also, I’m a bit stuck on how to actually install the demo content. Any tips for a complete beginner?
Welcome to WordPress! Avada is perfect for beginners because our “Live Builder” requires zero coding knowledge. To install demo content:
1. Navigate to “Avada” then “Websites” in your dashboard.
2. Select your favorite design and click “Import.”
3. Follow the setup wizard to install required plugins and content.
Please reach out if you need more help getting started.
The visual editor is powerful, but performance takes a hit on larger pages. Any plans to implement more granular lazy-loading options specifically for the Avada Builder’s internal DOM manipulation, or perhaps an option to default complex elements (like large WooCommerce loops) to static HTML output until edited? Core Web Vitals are suffering slightly.
We apologize for the impact our builder’s performance is having on your Core Web Vitals. Our team is actively investigating DOM-specific optimizations to address these larger page concerns.
We recommend using the “Performance Wizard” and submitting your “static output” idea to our feature request page for our developers to review.
I just started using WordPress today and Avada was my first purchase. It’s beautiful! Is there a simple way to make the font bigger on the mobile version? I’m still learning where all the settings are hidden. Thanks for making such a cool tool!
We are happy to help you locate the settings for adjusting your mobile font sizes!
1. Navigate to “Avada Options” and then “Typography” to set global sizes.
2. Click the “responsive icon” next to font settings in individual elements for mobile-only changes.
Please reach out if you need more help!
Just installed Avada for my very first blog! It’s a bit overwhelming at first because there are so many options, but the tutorials are helping. Does this theme work well with other basic plugins, or should I only use the ones that come with it?
Hello there! Welcome to the Avada community, and huge congratulations on starting your very first blog. That is such an exciting milestone to reach! It is completely normal to feel a little overwhelmed at first. Avada is packed with features to give you maximum creative control, so it definitely has a bit of a learning curve. We are so glad to hear that the tutorials are proving helpful as you find your footing. Regarding your question about plugins, Avada is designed to be highly compatible with most of the popular and “basic” plugins you might need, such as Yoast SEO, WooCommerce, and various contact form builders. While the theme comes with its own powerful tools like the “Avada Builder” and some bundled premium plugins, you are certainly not limited to just those. A few tips as you get started: 1. Only install plugins that provide essential features to keep your… Read more »
I was nervous about starting my own WooCommerce shop, but Avada made it so much easier than I expected. The drag-and-drop builder is really intuitive for someone like me who is just starting out. Highly recommend for fellow newbies!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We are so happy to hear that Avada helped make your transition into the world of WooCommerce a smooth one. It can certainly be intimidating to start a new shop, so it is great to know that our drag-and-drop builder felt intuitive and easy to use.
We really appreciate you recommending us to other beginners. We are excited to see what you create with your new store, and if you ever need any assistance or have questions as you grow, please feel free to reach out to our support team. Welcome to the community!
good stuff but a bit heavy… worth it for the features though tbh.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! We are really glad to hear that you find the range of features worth it for your projects. We understand that because Avada is so feature-rich, it can sometimes feel a bit heavy out of the box. To help with this, we highly recommend using the built-in “Performance Wizard” found in the Avada dashboard. It is a great tool for: 1. Disabling any design elements or features you are not actively using. 2. Optimizing how your CSS and JavaScript files are loaded. 3. Scanning for unused icons and fonts to reduce your site’s overall footprint. Combining those steps with a good caching plugin and optimized images can really make a difference in your site’s speed. If you ever need some specific tips for fine-tuning your setup, please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team. We are always happy to… Read more »
Loving the new Dynamic Data integration features, but I’m struggling with the conditional logic for ACF fields when using the Avada Slider. Is there a specific shortcode syntax or method to ensure a slide only shows if an ACF ‘status’ field equals ‘active’? Documentation is a bit sparse on complex conditional rendering.
Hello! It is great to hear you are enjoying the new Dynamic Data features. They definitely open up a lot of possibilities for custom layouts. Regarding your question about the Avada Slider and ACF conditional logic, you can achieve this without needing complex shortcode syntax by using the “Rendering Logic” settings. Since documentation for specific ACF field comparisons can be a bit brief, here is the standard method to set that up: 1. Open the settings for the specific Slide or the element you want to control within the Avada Builder. 2. Navigate to the “Extras” tab. 3. Look for the “Rendering Logic” section and click “Add Condition.” 4. In the first dropdown, select “ACF Field.” 5. For the “Field Name,” enter the exact slug of your ACF field (in your case, “status”). 6. Set the “Comparison” to “Equal To.” 7. In the “Value” field, type “active.” This should ensure… Read more »
This is my first time using a professional website builder. It looks amazing! One quick question: how do I change the main header color? I can’t seem to find the specific setting in the menu. Otherwise, I’m really loving the pre-made templates!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We are thrilled to hear that you are enjoying your first experience with a professional builder and that our pre-made templates have been a good starting point for you. Changing the header color is one of the best ways to start personalizing your site. You can find that setting by following this path: 1. Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Avada. 2. Click on Options. 3. Select Header from the sidebar and then click on Header Styling. 4. Look for the “Header Background Color” setting. Here you can pick a color from the palette or enter your own hex code. If you happen to be using a “Sticky Header” (the header that stays visible as you scroll down), you can change its specific color by going to Avada > Options > Header > Sticky Header. We hope this helps you… Read more »

Since the latest update (v8.5.1), Avada builder elements are conflicting badly with WP Rocket’s caching layer. CSS output seems to be loading out of order, causing layout shifts on mobile load until the user interacts. Have you tested this combination recently? Need a fix ASAP for production sites.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We understand the urgency of resolving layout shifts on production sites, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this conflict with the v8.5.1 update is causing.
